Thinking of Visiting or Joining the BNI?
Visitors are always welcome at Brighton Pavilion BNI. Visiting the chapter for one of our regular Wednesday morning breakfast meetings will give you the opportunity to see how the BNI works, network with the chapter members and also perhaps receive and/or give referrals. Please note that visitors and members need to be at the meeting by 6.50am.
If you're not ready to join there and then, you'll always be welcome to return again. Cost wise, visitors to the chapter are simply asked to pay for their cooked breakfast (as are all the members). In addition, once the members have all delivered their own '60 second slot' visitors are also given the opportunity to briefly introduce themselves and their business.
Visitors are also encouraged to participate in the referral section of the meeting, even if it's simply to let the chapter know how useful and informative they have found the meeting. If you don't already know a BNI member who can bring you along to a meeting as their guest, please contact us to arrange your visit.
Joining the BNI is quite simple. Visitors are always given the opportunity to join the chapter during the weekly meetings and membership forms are readily available from Visitor Hosts as well as the Treasurer, Membership Coordinator or Chapter Director.
In addition you'll be expected to contribute regularly (e.g. by direct debit) to the weekly venue/breakfast costs incurred by the chapter. All the costs involved will be confirmed by the Treasurer.
Compared to cost of other common forms of promotion (e.g. Yellow Pages or local paper/radio advertising) and given the steady flow of referral business enjoyed by most BNI members, we're sure you'll recognise this opportunity as excellent value for money. Besides the cost to join BNI, visitors should also consider the commitment they need to make to ensure success.
Networking requires commitment.
The most successful chapters of BNI are comprised of participants who are sincerely committed to helping one another through networking. They are a team. As a participant in BNI, you are responsible for complying with the policies and guidelines of the organisation.
- Only one person from each profession is permitted to join a chapter of BNI.
- All participants should represent their primary occupation, not a part-time business.
- Attendance is critical. If you cannot attend a meeting, you may send a substitute. This will not then count as an absence.
- Members are required to participate in the group by either bringing bona-fide referrals and/or visitors to their BNI chapter.
Once you've applied to join, your references will be taken up (two are required) and your membership payment processed. All being well, we'd hope to welcome you into the chapter the week after you apply.

Please contact the chapter director if you would like to visit.
